DC Universe Online has been around for a long time, originally released for Windows and PS3 in 2011. Since then, it has been ported to Xbox One, PS4, and, of course, the Nintendo Switch. It’s a free-to-play MMO action game where you can take control of heroes and villains within the DC universe. However, we don’t think calling this game “free” is entirely accurate. Even though you can download and open moments without the expense, DC Universe Online always bombards you with other paid promotions and upsells. This game boasts a full load of content, with almost nine years in action. That being said, you’ll still have to purchase the content separately or buy a subscription plan to fully take advantage of all DC Universe Online has to offer.

This new UI update comes over five years after the launch of the Nintendo Switch. This makes it a somewhat bittersweet addition in the eyes of many fans that have been asking for it for so long.

But what about the games? There’s a little something for everyone on this diminutive system, from colorful platformers to sprawling, heartrending role-playing games with expansive worlds. And you can play a ton by inserting a microSD card for extra storage. Plus, you can play with friends by opting for online play with Nintendo Switch Online.

Ocarina of Time sees Link jump through different timelines to claim the Triforce and defeat Ganondorf. It offers an incredible collection of dungeons, iconic gadgets, and a meticulously crafted world. While the Nintendo 64 version isn’t as user-friendly as the 3DS release from 2011, this game is still a must play for every Switch owner.

This mobility helps give Rise a more modern feel than its predecessors. Instead of lying on the ground after a big hit, I can use my Wirebug to recover in midair. It lets me pull myself to safety and heal before the monster can catch me again. I don’t only have to choose between dodging left or right; I can also dodge up. I can escape a fight by scaling a mountain, or follow a retreating monster by zipping over some buildings. I have more chances to save myself from the often brutal enemy AI.

The Nintendo Switch is Nintendo's successor to the Wii U, a home console with some great ideas and games that fell flat in execution. But the Switch has more in common with the iPad, or the slew of Android devices that have captured mainstream attention. Nintendo's own handheld devices, the Nintendo DS and 3DS had their share of the spotlight, but they never had the mainstream reach of the Nintendo Wii which released in 2006. Does the Nintendo Switch do enough to catapult the company back to the masses? Read on to find out.

We’re not going to go deep into the game as most gamers have played it on any number of the platforms on which you can get it (including Android). Basically, the gameplay is the same as on any other console, it’s just that now it’s on the Switch.

9.30 Excellent rating (30k+ sales in the last 6 months)

This is a list of video games for the Nintendo Switch video game console that have sold or shipped at least one million copies. As Nintendo shares the sales of their video games every quarter while most other publishers do not share sales figures per console, this list consists mostly of Nintendo-published titles.

At first glance, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury might look like something you’ve played a thousand times, and you may have even played this 2.5D Mario platformer when it first came out on the WiiU. It’s fun enough alone, but the main draw is the local co-op, which allows up to four people to play as Mario, Luigi, Peach, or Toad, each of whom have different advantages (Peach can float, Toad’s fast as hell, Luigi isn’t Mario, etc.). And then there’s Bowser’s Fury. Unlike Super Mario 3D World, Bowser’s Fury is entirely new. You’re dropped in a small open world neatly divided into regions (the ice area, the invisible walls area, and so on) and tasked with completing platforming puzzles to collect golden whatsits called Cat Shines. In the center, you’ll see a Kaiju-sized Bowser. Collect enough Cat Shines, and you’ll be able so supersize yourself to take on Bowser in increasingly challenging boss fights. It’s not as long as a “full” Mario game—like Super Mario Odyssey—but it’s an effective showcase for what an open-world Mario game might look like.

Nintendo Online also grants subscribers access to a large, growing library of classic NES and SNES console titles. These retro games are only playable with a Nintendo Online subscription, and cannot be purchased separately. They add enormous value to the cost of the service, especially for nostalgic fans and young players eager to learn more about Nintendo’s earliest hits.

There is a maximum unused account balance that may be stored on a single Nintendo eShop account, and the card may, as a result, be temporarily unredeemable.

Dragon Quest is a legendary franchise, but many people in the west have yet to experience what makes Dragon Quest so good. If you have a Switch, you can see for yourself.

TL;DR: Get the Switch OLED if you want a more portable system that also works with your TV out of the box; go with the Steam Deck if you want more robust and customizable controls.

This collection brings you a wide variety of different games to play, all in one package. Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics is an excellent way to enjoy a variety of different games you may never have otherwise tried. There are 51 different games here, including backgammon, mancala, checkers, hanafuda, shogi, chess, golf, and more. There are also some fun toys you can play with if you prefer to fly solo. There's something fun here for players of all ages, and lots to learn about other cultures as well if you take the time to read through the tutorials and different presentations set up throughout the game.

We struggle to recall a dystopia quite as cheerful as the one found in Pikuniku. It’s a short game, but one packed with heart and imagination, with a great single-player component and excellent couch co-op that can genuinely be enjoyed by anyone. It makes us remember the fun we had cutting pieces from our friends in Snipperclips, but where we occasionally hit a brick wall with that game, Pikuniku sidesteps frustration in favour of a breezy and charming adventure; a perfect salve if you need a break from the backlog, but don’t dive in expecting endless hours of gameplay.

Kirby's one of Nintendo's B-list characters, an amorphous pink blob with the ability to inhale enemies and absorb their powers for a limited time, and he's been quietly doing his thing over the years without ever really having the impact of the likes of Mario or Link. He's hard not to love, though, and Super Kirby Clash – an updated version of Team Kirby Clash Deluxe on the Nintendo 3DS – is a great showcase. It's an RPG with plenty of fighting as you assemble your own Team Kirby to save the Dream Kingdom.

The party brawler classic hit the Nintendo Switch in 2018 and still sees new content drops to this day. That's perfect whether you're looking to recreate those Smash Bros. memories on current-gen hardware or you're new to the series altogether. This is a canonical title for Nintendo, so price drops are hard to come by. If you do spot a price lower than that $59.99 MSRP in the US you're having a great day, and the UK has seen price drops to £49.99 in the past.

One of the biggest surprises during the September Nintendo Direct was the announcement of Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It looks like Kirby will be on an adventure through a post-apocalyptic world, as the trailer shows him washing up on a shore before setting off through a world of abandoned buildings and adorable enemies. Kirby and the Forgotten Land will be a 3D platformer, so expect some of the classic Kirby platforming with a more free-moving twist.

Nintendo Switch added the ability to store games in folders, or "groups," on Monday, letting you impose some order on your chaotic library five years after the hybrid console launched. The feature was part of system software update 14.0.0.

WarioWare: Get It Together! is another batch is short, sweet and silly microgames that pits you and fellow players against each other to complete a series of ridiculous tasks in lightning-fast time. In this one, you take control of a group of different characters who each have their own unique ways to complete a task. So, to use one example, you might need to get a windmill to spin. One character could fire projectiles at it or another might need to take the brute force approach and smack it themselves.

If you’re anxiously awaiting for the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, Skyward Sword will definitely hold you over.

Nintendo Switch gift cards start from just $5, though that might be a little too low to make the most of what the eShop has to offer. We'd recommend going with at least $10 or $20 so that your recipient can pick up some cheaper titles, or the $50 or $70 version for newer releases. Best Buy has the full price range up for grabs, whereas other retailers tend to limit their options to middling amounts.

The Mushroom Kingdom meets Ubisoft's zany party franchise in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, one of the most bizarre mashups in recent memory. This Nintendo Switch exclusive pulls off the collaboration in style by offering a humorous story with great writing and XCOM-style tactics gameplay that is approachable for younger players. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle offers a great introduction to turn-based strategy games and includes multiple difficult levels to match your skill level. In addition to the delightful solo campaign, Mario + Rabbids has a two-player co-op mode and local multiplayer.

Not quite a one sesh game, but “Exit the Gungeon“ is a lot lot lot shorter and compact than its predecessor. You can fully complete it in a around 4-5 hours.
