Under the leadership of Bhajanlal Sharma, the government has presented a remarkable first budget, earning widespread praise. Notably, the Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari has laid out plans for the state's development in the 2024-25 budget, setting new milestones for prosperity.

The budget embodies a holistic and inclusive development approach, aiming to improve the lives of all citizens. This budget stands as a pivotal milestone towards Rajasthan's comprehensive growth.

Drawing parallels from the Mahabharata, the budget aligns with the principles that a ruler should govern with diligence and ensure the welfare of the populace. This ethos is reflected in the state’s financial management and development strategies, showcasing a commitment to fiscal discipline and growth.

As a businessman, I, Sitaram Poswal, recognize the government's significant steps towards financial improvement. The estimated revenue receipts are ₹2,64,461 crores, while the estimated revenue expenditure is ₹2,90,219 crores, resulting in an estimated revenue deficit of ₹25,758 crores. The fiscal deficit is projected at ₹70,009 crores, which is 3.93% of the GSDP. This budget represents a crucial step towards fiscal discipline and development.

In the realm of water supply, the Rajasthan government has allocated ₹15,000 crores under the 'Jal Jeevan Mission' to provide drinking water to 25 lakh rural households. Additionally, ₹20,370 crores have been earmarked for six major drinking water projects. Under the 'Amrit 2.0 Yojana', ₹5,180 crores will be allocated for drinking water projects in 183 towns over two years.

For energy, the government has developed a ten-year plan to produce 20,500 MW from conventional sources and 33,600 MW from renewable sources by 2031-32, with a budget of ₹2,25,000 crores. Solar energy parks will be developed in various locations, and the 'PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme' will establish model solar villages in every district.

The government has also committed ₹60,000 crores for developing a 53,000-kilometer road network over the next five years, including state highways, bypass roads, flyovers, elevated roads, and bridges.

The Rajasthan government’s 2024 budget represents a comprehensive approach towards inclusive and sustainable development.
