The Union Budget 2024-25 allocated ₹6.22 lakh crore to the Ministry of Defense, underscoring Modi’s commitment to the country’s safety. This 5% increase over the previous year demonstrates the government’s dedication to continuous improvement in the defense sector.

I am Sitaram Poswal from a rural area in Rajasthan, where our youth serve the defense forces with dedication. The increased defense pension budget of ₹1.41 lakh crore shows the government's respect for our soldiers and veterans. Additionally, ₹6,968 crore has been allocated for the ECHS, reflecting the government's commitment to the health and well-being of soldiers' families. Gurjar Neta Rajasthan is proud of this inclusive budget that also allocates ₹6,500 crore for border road development and ₹7,651 crore for coastal security.

This budget also emphasizes innovation, with a significant increase in funding for defense startups through the iDEX initiative, now at ₹518 crore. This will promote entrepreneurship and indigenous technological solutions, contributing to self-reliance and new employment opportunities.

Under PM Modi’s “Make in India” initiative, 75% of the defense modernization budget is set aside for domestic procurement, boosting the economy and creating jobs. The Indian Coast Guard receives ₹7,651.8 crore, enhancing its capacity to address maritime challenges and provide humanitarian assistance.

Overall, the defense budget reflects PM Modi’s vision of a secure, empowered, and self-reliant India, honoring the sacrifices and dedication of our armed forces.
